Page Awareness raising Natura 2000: working with Europe's rural tourism sector
This project ran from January 2007 to July 2008. Co-financed by the EU, it brings together an innovative partnership of tourism providers and Natura 2000 specialists from 5 countries to raise awareness of Natura 2000 and to explore its implications/potential benefits for rural tourism at the grass roots level. The actions proposed have been piloted in three very different regions of Europe: Latvia, Andalucia, and 5 areas in Finland.

This site - managed by the Verband Deutscher Naturparke (VDN - Association of German nature parks) in cooperation with the EUROPARC-Federation - provides a wealth of information about European Nature Parks. It is aimed at people wishing to visit the parks for leisure purposes.

  1. Log in*
  2. Go to Resources & Links (top level or in a mini-site)
  3. Click the 'Add new resource' link
  4. Complete the form
  5. Click the 'Save' button at the end
  6. To submit the resource to the web manager, click the arrow next to 'Private' on the editing toolbar and choose 'Submit for publication'. Your resource will be reviewed and published.
