Issue Exchange

The establishment of Natura 2000 protected areas across Europe to help protected vulnerable habitats and bird species should bring about many benefits for Europe's natural heritage and biodiversity. However, the sites could also impact on many stakeholders within the European sea ports sector. These stakeholders need to accommodate Natura 2000 protected areas into their operations. To do this presents challenges and issues. By sharing information and best practice, we stand a better chance of overcoming these issues.

In this section you can find issues (problems) and solutions relating to how different stakeholders within the sea ports sector work with Natura 2000 sites.
