A small niche consultancy dealing with aspects of coastal management and Natura 2000. We provide advice on a range of issues including 'top down' or analogue-based conceptual models of impacts of coastal management schemes, port developments and dredging. The Institute for Infrastructure, Environment and Innovation (IMI) is an independent non-profit organisation with locations in Brussels, Hamburg and Amsterdam, aiming to demonstrate that the development of infrastructure can be reconciled with nature protection and environmental goals. In this connection, European nature legislation constitutes the main focal point of IMI, which specialises in projects that combine economic development and the preservation of Natura 2000 sites in coastal areas and estuaries.
